The Colorado School Stories Project is a joint project between CSFP, CASE, CASB, CEA, Great Education Colorado and Children's Voices. The purpose of the Stories Project is to document, via video and photos, the stories of our schools. The Stories Project allows folks in the districts to tell their stories of how they are making ends meet, the difficult choices they have to make to operate buildings and educate students in Colorado's schools.
At the CASE Conference in August 2006, we began video recording school's stories. At the CASB Conference in late November/early December 2006, we recorded many more stories from Superintendents and Board Members. We filmed teachers in January and April of 2007.
In December 2006, we mailed a version of the Stories to all Superintendents. We showed another set of Stories to the attendees at CASB's Legislative Conference at the Brown Palace in February 2007. The video was well received by Colorado's school board members and Superintendents.
Volunteers are in the process of reviewing, logging, and cataloging over 100 hours of stories.
Thank you to those of you who allowed us to record your story. Be patient with us as we work through the stories.
