March 2008: Report in response to questions about effects of the Mill Levy Stabilization. We are also in the process of our 2008 Update of the Adequacy/Costing Out Analysis. Feb. 2008: Using data from the US Census Bureau and the National Center of Education Statistics (NCES) CSFP created two charts related to Per Pupil Spending in Colorado and nearby states. Data from the US Census Bureau was also used to rank Colorado and nearby states on the amount spent on K-12 per $1,000 of personal income. CSFP's Characteristics of Colorado's School Population document charts Colorado's total enrollment from 1992-93 through 2005-06. A second chart illustrates the the number of students receiving Special Services from 1991-93 through 2005-06. Special Education, At-risk (free lunch) and ELPA students are included in the chart. Ed. CSFP Background: The Colorado School Finance Project (CSFP) compiles, collects and distributes research-based information and data on topics related to school finance. The CSFP was created in 1995, following the passage of the 1994 School Finance Act. It is funded by contributions from our Colorado school districts, from the Colorado Association of School Boards (CASB), the Colorado Association of School Executives (CASE), the Colorado Education Association (CEA) and the Colorado BOCES Association.
